LOL UH
It looks like some people got a bit confsed about the education system on page before last XvX;; *tries to explain*

it goes:
Nursery (3-4) > Reception & Primary (4-10) > Secondary & GCSE (11-15) > College(6th form) > (16-18) > University (whatever age)

When you finish Secondary/GCSE year, you go to college, HOWEVER you can choose to take a 'gap year' which means you don't go to college straight after GCSE's, you spend a year preparing for college (well, you're meant to) or just... not doing anything lol ;;
por example, my friend is taking a gap year to travel around America for a year. (n-no, really XDD)

Comprende? *v*;;

extra crap:
A GCSE is an acedemic qualification awarded in a specific subject. In college it is best to have a C grade or above in Math & English to take your A-levels in college. Each A-level requires a different GCSE (but all of them need Maths & English) for instance to take art you need a C grade or above in Art or textiles, plus an extra 5 GCSE's of grade C or above in any other subject (this includes maths&English)
College is free, unless you go to a private college. However you have to pay for your own equipment - eg in photography you need a digital and a traditional camera, which you have to pay for yourself.
University is not free ; undergraduates pay tuition fees set at a maximum £3225 per annum, and UK students are generally entitled to student loans for maintainance. Students from outside th UK / EU have to pay higher amouns (£5000 - £20000 per annum). The actual amount differs n which subject you take.
An A-level is what you study for in college - students usually take 4 a-levels (and can drop one in the second year) but they can take 3 or 5.
A-levels give you UCAS points which you need in order to enter University. Each A-level grants about 100 UCAS points.
If you drop an A-level in your second year then you are only granted an A2, which gives you half the amount of UCAS points which the A-level would have given you.
In university, the course you take requires a different amount of UCAS points. eg for a teaching course you may need 300 UCAS points but for illustration you might only need 120. ;u;b
* some people study in college for 3 years instead of 2 espiecally if they are doing one subject such as btec national diploma. *

---

PHEW! That was way more than you needed to know but w/e. Any questions, feel free to ask XD

The extra info on the educational system is really helpful. And June doesn't seem to realize that it's Christmas.
